Hard to Find Books Auckland is ON THE MOVE - 16th Jan 2026

Hard to Find Books Auckland is ON THE MOVE We are now definitely moving... but the good news is that we have a new Auckland location lined up only a few hundred metres from where we are now. We will have more books than ever, and the move begins... NOW (!)... but the shop remains open until the end of February in our current location. Your help has made our survival possible, and all the team are very very grateful for your ongoing support. Meanwhile, come buy heaps of books so we don't have to move so many :-)

Both shops open usual hours - 30th Nov 2025

Dunedin & Auckland (despite the move!), open 7 days from 9.30am

USA CUSTOMERS READ ME! (updated) - 22nd Aug 2025

USA CUSTOMERS READ ME! (updated) TRUMP TARIFFS: New Zealand Post (NZP) has resumed sending to the USA, hooray. However, your books will be a little more expensive, as we shall be passing on the cost of both the tariffs and costs associated with paying said tariffs onto you, the customer (SAD!). But the good news is, once you have paid for your book/s and shipping, you will NOT have to pay any extra duties or fees to receive your package (unlike the situation recently, when we did not have a DDP ("delivery duties paid") service available)

Random note: if you are in ALASKA or HAWAI'I, we have no idea why, but it costs an extra NZ$25 PER BOOK in some circumstances to send a package to you! If you have an alternative address in another US state, that is your best bet.
