Quarto, blue cloth boards, gilt lettering and motifs to spine and front board, illus eps, xii+148pp, illus, scruffy (light bruising with surface loss to spine, moderate rubbing with surface loss to boards, moderate bruising/fraying to corners, various instances of surface loss to eps from cellotape, 2cm closed tear to front gutter - repaired with cellotape - no tape staining, 'compliments of' paper cellotaped to fep, large owners signature/address in ink to prelims - it seems the owner acquired the book on the RMS QE and is thusly inscribed, damage to prelims where memorial pin has sat, cracked gutter at title, text block itself is still in lovely condition with nice bright plates) in d/w, Poor (heavy creasing with surface loss, many small tears with and without surface loss, top 2cm of spine missing, 2cm patch of surface loss to front motif - extensive attempts at repairs with archival tape, price clipped, heavy rubbing, moderate tanning)
