7 OF 8 VOLS PRESENT (VOL 7 MISSING), sm octavo, brown leather boards, gilt lettering to red leather title plates on spines, raised bands & gilt tooling to spines, gilt rule to board edges, frontispieces present to vols 2/4/6, mixed pagination, lovely charming vignettes announce the beginning of a new play, G (this is a very delicate set with either front or rear boards missing to vols 1/6/8, boards that are still present are heavily scuffed to a degree that is age appropriate but care will still be needed when handling, boards that are present are also sometimes detached, edges of the page blocks are heavily tanned/soiled, multiple historic prev. owners' names in ink to prelims, all vols are typically foxed and/or tanned with vol 3 being exceptionally mold stained to its eps & prelims, moderate cracks to gutters sporadically throughout all vols however binding is still quite firm and sound, spines are considerably scuffed but still very much intact, some minor insect damage- inactive) Photos are recommended for this charming set
