HAND-PAINTED WATERCOLOURS CIRCA 1880's, TEXT IN CHINESE & ENGLISH; Octavo concertina-style pages in purple cloth boards, label with Chinese lettering in black & red ink pasted to front board, upper & lower page edges stained red, unpaginated, beautifully illus. hand-painted watercolour plates on paper-mounted cloth, VG- (boards slightly warped/cocked, light-moderate rubbing/soiling to boards, moderate scuffing to board extrems, remnants of previous label to front board suggest current label may be a replacement or may have been reapplied, one page-fold has a closed approx. 5cm tear not infringing on text/plates, all text/plates clean other than a few intermittent spots of soiling, reverse side of all pages blank due to concertina-style binding, light dampstaining to some bottom corners on reverse side only, moderate foxing to page edges only)
